Crazy Monday

What a day... took me around an hour to get the car from Eldan (3-month business rates ;-) this morning. Then had to get used to driving on the wrong side of the road very quickly.
Finally got back to our apartment and then after lunch we decided to all go to City Hall to get a residential parking permit. We got there about 2pm and they only open 8am-1pm - yay. I know what my first job is tomorrow morning...
Now... Be warned of what you are about to read - DON'T drive to arab east jerusalem. I repeat DON'T drive to arab east jerusalem. I thought i was going to that beautiful lookout over all of jerusalem. Well i kinda got lost around the Mount of Olives and wound up you know where... Y'know all those photos of little arab kids running around with little machine guns (be they toys or not) - they're EVERYWHERE. We weren't going to stop to take pictures...
Anyway, after our fleeting visit to meet our 'cousins' we finally did find the lookout (fyi - its on the road to east talpiot) and then got back home around 7. very happy to be back on 'terra jewish firma'.
An eventful day.
